INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE is based on ancient healing system of Ayurveda medicine and it is also known as champissage. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word (the ancient language of India) and it means “The Science of Life” - ayur (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Ayurveda is a complete healing system that rely on a natural and holistic approach to physical and mental health. It focuses on achieving a balance of mind, body and spirit.




Indian head massage is a part of everyday life for relaxation and healing in Indian families . Indian women are teaching their daughters how to give a head massages. Barbers in India have included head massages as a part of the hair cutting treatment for men. Head massage known as 'champi' have been passed down through the generations from barber father to son.


It last 30 or 45 minutes and works on upper back, shoulders, neck, head and face. Indian head massage use a combination of massage strokes and acupressure points. It increase mobility and flexibility in neck and shoulders, very effective for headaches and migraines, relaxes tense eye muscles, improves blood circulation, stimulates lymphatic drainage, eliminates the toxins, release the stress, reduces anxiety, calming the mind, relieves insomnia, improves oxygen flow to the brain, increases circulation to the scalp which helps the hair follicles receive all of the oxygen and nutrients what improves and stimulates healthy hair growth etc.
