Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep because through the practice you remain in a state between wakefulness and sleeping. In meditation you usually sit down with a spine upright but in Yoga Nidra you are lying down on the floor. Yoga Nidra has been known for thousands of years. Actually, it is a conscious practice of relaxation that is intended to stimulate physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Yoga Nidra can be practiced by everyone from children to the elderly. It can not be done nothing wrong and it doesn`t have bad side effects. You do not have to practice yoga or meditation to do Yoga Nidra.
